Termite Baiting Systems
Termite baiting is generally used in 2 different ways. Firstly if you have termites inside your home attacking timbers, then we use a bait station ( Generally called an AG which means above ground ) to feed the termites and insect growth regulator which in turn eliminates the termite colony which means that if done correctly, the termites which were attacking your building have now been eliminated.
The second method of termite baiting is generally a more pro-active approach by installing IG stations ( meaning in-ground ) around the perimeter of your building. This system is then designed for the purpose of feeding the insect growth regulator bait to any foraging termites in your property and attempting to eliminate the termite colony before they cause damage to your property.
These systems do work very well, but only when they are regularly maintained and serviced. Please note that termite baiting systems do not provide any structural protection for your home and therefore it is normally not given any warranty for that reason. The system can be used in conjunction with a chemical termiticide termite management system which certainly encouraged as it helps to reduce the amount of termite pressure on your property.
